Why is one said and thought other? What are we afraid to ask?
We all know what changes the Czech Republic has undergone over the past decades. We now see new buildings, a lot of interesting projects, advertisements and goods.
These are good things. Everything seems to be improving and thnere is no problem anywhere. But it's not the only thing we can see. Did anyone notice anything strange?
Has anyone noticed how extremely different reality is from the ideal?
You can argue that Ideals are always unattainable. What is not without mistakes. However, the reality is so far that it does not even resemble a very distant outline.
Take the #workenvironment, for example:
Absolutely common in many workplaces are: lack of work tools (Employers, despite enough, are trying to convince us that they have no tools. They seem to believe that we are used to the missing equipment and we have not noticed the changes.) Followed of insecure personal belongings, bullying, protection, rudeness and complete ignorance of professional knowledge, even organized ignorance of privacy, misuse of technology, or appropriation of other people's property, even planned, are nowhere common.
Despite all the changes, the result is unprofessionalism and working conditions so different from the ideal that it is impossible to talk about the working environment at all.
In promotion, we would call this offer a misleading packaging, which raises more expectations than it actually provides benefits. Something disguised in a new T-shirt with the original interior.
It would be said: Unnecessary complaints and common social phenomenas! So let's mess it up!
So I tried. For a long time, I considered the surroundings only uneducated (without negative connotations) and I sought solutions in social contexts. Before I found out, that trying to change something in this way is like carrying water drops into the sea with a colander. All efforts were in vain.
It is not an outpouring of unjustified anger nor is it a confession of a person suffering from burnout. That is a fact.
So where is the problem?
There can be many reasons, everything solvable: lack of knowledge, reluctance of people to follow the rules, regional and local customs, personality characteristics, inability to learn, relationships or racial or gender intolerance (Which allegedy does not exist in our country, which we are convinced of. Which is replaced by more serious persecution of specific people. Which allegedy does not exist.) Or other reasons, just a desire for profit with ignoring the consequences. (I don't know the reason, so I'll count on ignorance.)
Again, I thought about what was wrong. And again, unnecessarily.
By law, I do not harm anyone, I try to understand and learn. And yet, precisely because of that, I interfere.
These are not common #socialphenomena. It is the history of the Czech Republic that has not disappeared. I don't think this is an isolated problem. It only amazes the nonsense of such action.
The new wave of people, included me, apparently, should hit the original ones, who committing a crimel. I have tried that. (Of course nonviolently, at least with attitude and expertise.) But why didn't anything happen? Because that new wave was more like a lone individual who didn't have a chance to change anything.
How is all this possible in enough goods, nice home furnishings and modern building materials?
Just as the silent victims of the past did not forget their pain, so the stil loud perpetrator did not forget how to carries out harmful acts. And other victims still suffer the same actions without anyone notifying them. Maybe because we still don't know which of us is the killer.
The problem is the same. Only one reason replaced the other.
The problem will not go away on its own, just by writing debates.
I don't know if there are people who live freely, with regard to others (as stated in the Constitution of the Czech Republic or the Charter of Fundamental Freedoms). The problem will not be in the definition. I don't think they understand what freedom means. And I'm not sure if the way it's offered, they want it.
Perhaps because the educated classes are drowning in philosophies and rhetorical exercises. No change is seen below. We can learn something, but we can no longer think and most importantly we do not try to understand. And we don't really want to.
We are used to seeing one and claiming the other. Which gave rise to a whole new kind of organized crime which now has wings.
Did anyone really notice anything strange? Is it really the direction that goes where we wanted?
In practice, no one gives anything to anyone. Perhaps not to be considered a fool. Although these are public services paid for by the state.
But still for one case, one person. This probably doesn't apply to most. This is an absurd situation in our society. In the center of interest is an individual who has no idea that he is part of a hate group.
I don't know why I should be involved in ignoring the obvious. Even if it didn't concern me.
